Designing learning that supports students, educators, and systems.
About Me
My name is Ana Thomas, and I am a credentialed educator with over a decade of experience supporting young learners, educators, and families. I graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and shortly after graduation moved to New York, where I unexpectedly found my way into teaching preschool and early elementary students. What began as a stepping stone quickly became a passion. Teaching never felt like “work,” which ultimately led me to pursue a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College and commit fully to the field.

As a military spouse, my career has taken me from the East Coast to the West Coast and overseas to Okinawa, Japan. In every location, I found ways to stay connected to education, teaching, collaborating with colleagues, and adapting to new communities and systems. This diverse background has shaped me into a flexible, resourceful educator who thrives in change and values strong relationships, thoughtful curriculum, and meaningful support for both students and teachers.

Outside of my professional work, family is at the center of my life. My husband is an active duty Marine, and together we are raising our five-year-old son. Our experiences have shaped me into an adaptable, curious, and solutions oriented professional who approaches work with flexibility and intention. These experiences continue to influence how I show up professionally: with empathy, clarity, and a deep understanding of the real world challenges educators and families face.
